Senator kalu celebrates women on international women’s Day

Senator representing Abia North senatorial Zone, Senator Orji Uzor kalu has commended Nigerian women for their strength  and courage as Nigeria joins the rest of the world to celebrate International women’s day.

In a statement issued and made available to Seaflypo News, on Saturday , The distinguished senator and former Governor of Abia State expressed heartfelt gratitude and admiration to all women worldwide.

Senator kalu who is also the Chairman senate committee on South East Development commission said:

” I celebrate my wife and all the hardworking female political allies and supporters: today we recognize your unwavering strength, perseverance, and contributions to society.

As I acknowledge all that you do in your respective spheres of influence, I join the world to also recognize that there is still so much work to be done to promote women’s empowerment and inclusion in government at all levels”

He urged Government at all levels to ensure that women held prominent positions by electing or appointing career women to occupy them.

“But we cannot stop here. We must continue to advocate for women’s political participation and representation at the highest levels, and create a supportive environment for women to thrive in all aspects of society.
By promoting inclusive Governance at all levels.
