The directive by Central Bank of Nigeria CBN to Banks in the Country to publish names of companies and individuals who are serial debtors and have non-performing loans have indeed exposed the Chairman of Skye Bank Plc, Mr Olatunde Ayeni as one of the debtors as well as some atrocities he uses Skye Bank to perpertrate being the Head. Publication of debtors list revealed that, Ayeni is one of the serial debtor but incidentally he never publish the money he owes his Bank but his Global Energy Resources, an Oil and Gas  Company’s debt of 175million naira was published by First City Monument Bank . It will be recalled that CBN had directed all 19 banks in the country as well as discount houses to start exposing the businesses and people behind the mountain of debts threatening to kill the sector from August 1, 2015. Despite some intense lobby by some bigwigs including Ayeni to hide under his company’s name not to get published ,the list is in compliance with  directive from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) that banks should publish a quarterly list of delinquent debtors with outstanding amount of N50 million and above. A source within the bank disclosed that it  is a well fact within the Board of Skye Bank that apart from getting loans from other banks including that of FCMB to finance his Oil and Gas business, the trained Lawyer who ironically donated 1billion naira to campaign fun of former President Goodluck Jonathan plus additional 1billion from friends also uses customers money in the Skye Bank to trade. The source hinted that, Mr Ayeni an ally of convicted former Governor of Bayelsa State Diepreye Alamieyeseigha is owing Skye Bank billions of Naira but was able to hid under a company not to exposes his debt to the bank which may eventually caused him his Chairmanship of the board position. We gathered some debtors have entered into various payment schemes  to avoid being shamed by this exercise, a bank official said. The CBN has put the total credit owned at N14 trillion and about 3% of it was non-performing. Information has it that even before the name of one his company Global Energy Resources was published he tried bringing down the money to that level with loans through some of his other companies all in a bid not to put himself in bad light, we gathered. The Chairman of Skye Bank became Director at Skye Bank in January 2008 before becoming the Chairman of Board of Financial Institution. He has been on an acquisition spree, he alongside other partners acquired the decaying Nigerian Telecommunication Limited (NITEL), Mobile Telecommunication (M-Tel). He is a Director at several corporate bodies like Olutoye Estate Development & Services Ltd., National Sports Lottery Plc, Prime Union Investment Ltd., Prime Union Travels & Tours. He also has huge interests in Oil and Gas, Power and Banking
