Skye Bank Debunks Abduction Rumour Drama, ‘Its Unfounded And Baseless’

There was a news about a young lady identifying her kidnapper in one of Skye Bank’s branches. The news which has since gone viral stated that a young lady who had gone to make transactions at the bank saw a man she claimed had once kidnapped her sometimes last year.

 

She was reported to have further stated that the man had raped her 4-6 times every day during her days of being held captive. She claimed that the man had a scar near his manhood. Reports had it that the police who were called to the scene had stripped the man and indeed found the said scar backing the young lady’s claims. It was also stated that after getting a warrant to check his account balance the sum of 98 million naira was found.However, the head of Skye Bank Strategic Brand Management, Nduneche Ezurike, has released an official statement stating that the news that has been circulating is false and it never happened in any of their branches. According to him, the information is false, unfounded and baseless and has urged the public to disregard the information.

“We have investigated, and established that the information is false, unfounded and baseless. This incident never occurred in (or near) any of Skye Bank branches and further investigations reveal that the story has two versions; first reported on 5th November 2015 by one Odinaka in on online platform www.tori.ng and the latest version emanating just two days ago, 7th February 2017 by Twitter user @cunnybush and now being circulated by various online blogs, including your medium.

 We request members of the public to disregard this sensational attempt to put the Bank in bad light.”
