Troops Kill Nine Suspected Bandits, Rescue Two Victims In Zamfara

Nigerian Army has killed nine suspected bandits in Zamfara state.
The troops of Operation Sharan Daji also arrested five of them and burned down their camp.
The army also rescued two persoms who were kidnapped and held hostage in the camp with the help of other security agencies and local vigilance groups around Zamfara and Katsina States.
The Acting Force Information Officer, Major Clement Abiade, said that the troops conducted clearance operations in Shinkafi, Birnin Magaji, Sunke Forests in Zamfara State and Safana, Runka, Kunkan Sama in Katsina State.
The troops also arrested six suspected bandits’ collaborators including a Tanker driver were apprehended at Kwana Mayanchi, for supplying petroleum products to bandits at Gando Forest.
Items recovered from the suspects included a round of 7.62mm special ammunition, a motorcycle and large quantities of illicit drugs. Others are 45 gallons of fuel, seven drums of fuel, a Tanker vehicle and a water pumping machine.
