Tunde Seriki Bounces Back, Starts New Life In US
This Nigerian born America based Music promoter was recently released from the custody of Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) in America having been wrongly detained awaiting trial for 14years.
Tunde Seriki an easy going and philanthropist who moved to United States of America (USA) since 1991 started having problem with the DEA in 1998 when his estranged American wife falsely testified against him to have been involved in unknown business to make his wealth with the believe that, if found guilty she could run away with his property and cash of money at home. This development led to questioning from the DEA who queried his source of wealth, but after a decade of intensive investigation and interrogation, his lawyers were able to prove to the court, the immense proceeds from his entertainment business – most especially music promotion.
Surprisingly, the officials could not find any evidence of drugs in his possession or residence neither was he linked to any illicit or drug trafficking cartel.
Ever since, he had been detained and appearing at every court proceedings until last September, 2015 he was finally discharged and acquainted.
It was also disclosed that the judge that presided over his case not only gave him a second chance but also urged him to continue to remain law abiding and return to his entertainment business without any restrictions.
This news is however contrary to rumours circulating that the top socialite would be deported back to Nigeria and face a hard time.
Speaking from his base, Tunde revealed that since 1991 he had moved to the States, he had never been arrested for antisocial act, but promised to forgive those that planned for his downfall.
He said in as much he had forgiven his persecutors, nothing will stop him from improving the lives of the downtrodden in the society while engaging in his business.
THE NEW DEAL
From all indications, this Kogi born light-skinned music promoter is back with a bang. Interestingly, his 14-years of incarceration doesn’t seem to be slowing him down as he has begun plans to spread the tentacles of his entertainment company to Asia with deep roots in America and Africa.
According to those who should know, Seriki has returned to music promotion business and has engaged international music managers all continent to expand his influence in music sector across the globe.
In fact, to officially welcome him back to the fold, his entertainment company, Sultan Music International has began plans to stage the biggest musical concert scheduled to hold in Nigeria and Malaysia.
According to a gist merchant, Seriki is working towards engaging the services of top music moguls and legends in Nigeria and United States of America to achieve success as he stages his comeback.
As part of his new year projects, the source further disclosed that, Tunde Seriki has concluded plans to return to school to further broaden his knowledge in medical studies as an Alumnus of University of Chicago where he studied Oby/Gynecology.
Born with a silver spoon as the only son of the family Seriki’s passion for music saw him establishing his music company called, Sultan Music International.
Before now, the entertainment company is reputable for organizing musical concert for Nigerian artists such as late Dr. Sikiru Ayinde Barrister, Queen Salawa Abeni and others in the late 90s. Tunde singlehandedly promoted a show which had Lagbaja, Rasheed Ayinde, and Shina Akanni as the headliners in the U.S.
In 2000, he expanded the scope of his record label and started a branch in Africa with Nigeria as the base. It was called Sultan Music and Films Records and signed Waheed Arowokoko and Shina Akanni to give Nigeria music a new face.
