UNTOLD STORY ABOUT SLAIN PROTEA HOTEL ATTENDANT IN BENIN …Plus Connection of Oba of Benin Son, Omoregbe

The recent uproar against an alleged extra-judicial killing by Nigeria Policemen  in Benin, Edo State seems to have taken different dimension with the processes sorrounding the whole saga shrouded in secrecy with more revelation that also linked Prince Omoregbe Erediauwa in the picture.

Investigation by our reporter has it that residence of Benin are bitter with 34year-old Prince Omoregbe the fourth son of Monarch of Benin, Oba Eradiauwa  who is the Franchise owner of the Protea Hotel, gathered this has to do with the Prince disposition to the whole issue leaving many to insinuate different kind of negative thought on the Oba sons involvement. The Late Hotel attendant, Chibuike Edeh a 27year old man had been accused by management of the hotel of entering a guest room to steal a sum of 48, 000naira arreasted and handed over to the Police in Benin. Though the  Edo State Police Command led by its Commissioner of Police, Samuel Adegbuyi had denied any extra-judicial killing explaining that ‘the late man was crushed by a vehicle on Sapele Road as he tried to escape from the police when he was led to the area to recover the stolen money.” but the father of deceased, Mr. Raphael Edeh, said that he believed that his son was tortured to death, adding that the accident was merely a cover-up. The public have also accused the Police of being incoherent in its statement as it concern how the boy really died, the actions and statement became suspicious when the Police claimed they have CCTV footage of Chibuike stealing money in the room but the only footage made available to the public was the attendant doing his job on the passage of the hotel. A staff of the hotel who crave anonimity disclosed that ‘no room in the hotel has CCTV installed because its against ethics of the profession and against privacy of guests’. . The Police has also been accused of not coming out clean on how the deceased allegely crushed by a car while attempting to escape as claimed by the Police. However, the issue which started since March this year has been dragged slowly due to the personality of the Prince hence the State Government has also indeed failed to give it the neccessary urgency which could see many secret about the whole incident unfolding.
