‘VILLAGE HEADMASTER’ STAR ROBINSON DIES AT 74
Star of the 1980s television series, ‘Village Headmaster,’ Femi Robinson, has passed on at the age of 74. Robinson took on the role as the village headmaster after Justus Esiri, who also passed on two years ago.
The thespian, who would have been 75 later in September, passed away in the early hours of Wednesday, May 20, at Ayodele Hospital, Fagba, in the Ifako Ijaiye area of Lagos.
Wole Robinson, his son, confirmed his demise. In a tribute to his father, he described the veteran as a great man who impacted the world as he could.
“He was a great man. He tried as much as he could to change the world. He had his personal views about life. He was committed to truth and he put his mind and character to pursue his vision and passion. He tried as much as possible to change his environment, the entertainment industry, aviation industry, and arts and culture industry,” Wole Robinson said.
“But as God would have it, his death was not good enough. He has been credited for several deeds in broadcasting, arts and aviation. He was an embodiment of ideas. Three months ago, he came out of this and thought he would survive it. He was a man that never gave up, but he could not beat this one,” he stated.
Robinson trained as a public relations expert, business and theatre administrator, and was the pioneer director of programmes of the Ogun State Television (OGTV).
