Vivacious Amira Ibrahim-Alfa Emerges As New Face of Africa Fashion Week Nigeria/London 2017

Africa Fashion Week Nigeria/London 2017 said, “We are so excited to announce the fast rising presenter Amira Ibrahim-Alfa , as this year’s face of Africa fashion week Nigeria/London 2017. Amira have been chosen to be the Face of Africa Fashion Week 2017 because of her model presentation of today’s young African woman, who is vibrant, vivacious, and unafraid to dream by stepping out of the norm to make her mark in a career.
On her return to Nigeria in 2016, Amira Ibrahim- Alfa was first sighted at the corridors of the AFWN 2016 while co-hosting with Derenle Edun on the red carpet. Since then her career has escalated and we are proud to have her as the Face of AFWN/L 2017.

ABOUT AMIRA IBRAHIM ALFA

She is a graduate of Advertising from the University of The Arts London, UK. Who also currently completed her masters last year 2016 in Theatre Arts from Middlesex University London, UK. She attended and passed the performing Arts school in Lamda, UK.
During her masters program, she came to Nigeria in 2016 and did her internship with EbonyLife TV in Production.

She started school production act at the age of 3yrs old and broke into the Nigerian media scene at the age of 9yrs old, when she stared alongside Joke Silver, Olu Jacobs, Buky Ajayi and Bimbo Manuel in an award winning film by Fred Amata, THE KINGMAKER. She then took a break to further her education in England, where she continued to train and participate in productions like e.g. Sweet Charity- As Nickie, OLIVER- As The Artful Dodger, Ipi Tombi, just to mention a few.
She was honoured with the 2012 Excellence Drama award in England ( Mounts St. Mary’s College, Derbyshire).
Amira has worked alongside designers such as FinAfrik, Nikki Khiran, Ade Bakare etc. She did Editorial with Complete Fashion and Bridal shoot with Bellanaija in 2016.
She has been photographed by some of the best photographers in Nigeria e.g. Emmanuel Oyeleke, Kelechi Amadi-Obi and Chinedu Odogwu.

She was one of the presenters for the before and after party at the just concluded AMVCA 2017. Amira has hosted few red carpet events in the past including, Africa fashion week Nigeria 2016, Ethan and Harriet 2016, Lagos fashion and design week (presenter for Prime Tv), runway FADAN 2016, a judge on the Miss ideal Nigeria 2016 pageant and got Glam & Essence most promising red carpet host award 2016, at the Glam & Essence style award & runway show.

Like she better describes herself in an interview. “I am very adventurous. I dont have one particular style, because I love trying new things and exploring new clothing ideas and trends”.
