More fact have emerged why the Italian giant Juventus maintained a firm stance on keeping Paul Pogba all summer despite interest from a host of elite clubs, though it appears the Serie A champions may have been willing to sell the midfielder after all. La Gazzetta dello Sport reports the 22-year-old France international rejected an €85 million (£62 million) move to Chelsea — which would have seen Oscar move the other way and Pogba net a yearly £8.7 million salary — in favour of staying in Turin and taking on the hallowed No. 10 Bianconeri jersey.

 

Chelsea may have missed their window, as Juve director general Beppe Marotta has warned Pogba’s suitors that €100 million may not even be enough for the midfielder next time around. If you think that’s a little steep, then just remember — this is a man who can pass with his backside.
