Pretty Songstress, Jelyon Sampson  new single ‘Koko Baby’ is already receiving lots of airwaves, the Imo State born singer told us the inspiration behind the song and why it will be hard for anybody to resist it after listening to it.

 Tell us about the song, is it your first single

  Its my second single and it is called Koko Baby, is on air and online platform at the moment. The song is a Club-jam, it talks about love.

 Where do you get the inspiration for the song

 iTS about my personal experience including some of the things i noticed around people that are close to me.

 What genre of music do you sing

 I sing Afro-pop and Soul

When did you drop the song and has the reception being

 It was dropped on July 1st, gradually it has been taken on the air-waves and people loving it, though lots of people are yet to listen to it but those who have really liked it based on the reception

 How long does it took you to put it together

 It did not take long, putting the beats together was like 3days but everything was ready in two weeks

 Based on reception you talk about, do you think the song Koko Baby can really compete with the competition in the industry

 I think so, the little accolades i have gotten have been impressives, its for people to say and not me.

 Why the title KOKO Baby

  Initially i wanted to title it Wonder but while writting the thoughts came on ,and i decided to name it Koko Baby since its even a love song, what i really meant by Koko Baby is like saying my loving Baby

 Did you feature any artist in the song

 No, may be i will in the remix but for this its only me, its a song you cant resist after listening to it.

 How long have you been in music industry

 Have started early in life but i took a break, proffessionally have been in it in the last 10years

 who are the artiste you are looking to feature in your subsequent songs

  Many of them and i already have a relationship with them, we have met at shows together hopefully we will do stuff together soon. Artiste like, Banky W, Yemi Alade, Davido, and host of them we are friends.

 What is the future of ordinary artiste in Nigeria

 Is very bright, if you work very hard with right people around you and financial resources to go with it, the sky is the beginning.

 Are you looking at signing for a label now

 For now am on my own but if i see a good one , why not.
