Excitement In The Air As Jimi Benson Flags-off Construction of Eight Different Roads In Ikorodu

Hon Babajimi Benson, member of the House of Representatives representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency, officially flagged off the construction of Ori-Okuta road in Imota LCDA.

This groundbreaking project marks a significant milestone in the development of the area, as the construction of the road won’t stop on Ori-Okuta but following roads will be constructed; Apeje, Amugbase, Ogunnowwo, Tanimola, Olugayan, Iradelu, and Olufoworosete road.

Mayor Deen Sanwoola, the Director General of iCare Foundation, represented Rep. Babajimi Benson, member of the House of Representatives, Ikorodu federal constituency, as he flagged off the Ori-Okuta road in Imota LCDA.

During his speech, Mayor Sanwoola expressed the  dedication of Babajimi Benson in improving the road network in each local government, emphasizing the importance of economic development.

He explained that the installation of solar street lights along the road would not only enhance safety but also stimulate night commerce, ultimately increasing property value.

Mayor Sanwoola humbly appealed to the Community Development Association (CDA) and residents to support the contractors throughout the project. He also extended his gratitude to the Oba of Imota, HRM Oba Ajibade Bakare Agoro, for their unwavering support and cooperation.

Oba Ajibade Agoro, Ranodu of Imota Kingdom expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Rep. Babajimi Benson for his unwavering dedication as a representative. He thanked Babajimi Benson for deeming it fit to construct the much-needed Ori Okuta road in Imota.

During his speech, Oba Ajibade Agoro Ranodu took a nostalgic trip down memory lane, recounting the struggles they faced in advocating for road project in Imota kingdom.

Ranodu emphasized the need for community members to actively collaborate with the contractor to ensure the safety of the workers involved in the road construction. He further urged the community to take ownership of the project upon completion by protecting and safeguarding the road.

Hon. Nurudeen Solaja thanked Babajimi Benson for his dedication and commitment to improving the infrastructure in Imota LCDA. He emphasized the importance of road constructions for the development of the community and passionately pleaded for more projects in Imota LCDA.
